A limited number of travel subventions are available to TEMiC participants. Applicants must submit via email an electronic copy of their travel booking.
Participants are responsible for choosing, arranging, and initially paying for their own travel. As an EMiC-affiliated scholar, you are eligible to receive reimbursement for your travel expenses (train, bus, and air, as well as shuttle, taxi, or personal vehicle). You must complete and submit the Travel Claim Form along with all travel documents (receipts, boarding passes, ticket stubs) to be eligible for reimbursement. The refund process takes 4-6 weeks and cannot be initiated until after the summer institute. Note that participants are expected to use the most economical forms of travel available. If you are flying into Toronto, please take advantage of the shuttle service from Pearson International Airport to Peterborough.
